Cynthia E. Bartok, PhD (Clinical Psychology)

Dr. Bartok has over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacific Graduate School of Professional Psychology-Palo Alto.

Dr. Bartok is a seasoned clinician and though eclectic and able to provide numerous therapy techniques, she primarily uses cognitive behavior therapy to address anxiety, depression, anger management, chronic pain, occupational stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep disturbance, and many other adult client concerns. She is trained in dialectical behavioral therapy to help those with overwhelming emotions. She is skilled in prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy for traumatic events. Dr. Bartok also provides spinal cord stimulator and intrathecal pump evaluations with the referral from a pain management provider.

David R. Miller, PhD (Clinical Psychology), M.S.

Dr. Miller has over 20 years of clinical experience. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University and a M.S. degree in Psychopharmacology from Argosy University-Honolulu. Dr. Miller also completed a two year post doctorate fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology from Tripler Army Medical Center.

Dr. Miller is an experienced clinician and uses Rogerian and Cognitive Behavior Therapy for many of the concerns that clients seek treatment for. He is adept at treating anxiety, depression, anger management, occupational/academic stress, and sleep problems that children, adolescents, or adults experience. For traumatic events, Dr. Miller has substantial experience and skill in prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy techniques.

In his work with children and families, Dr. Miller is well versed in parent child interaction therapy, behavior modification, play therapy, and family therapy to address numerous family related problems to include autism spectrum and delayed developmental milestones.

He also assists parents and schools with IEP and 504 action plan development.

Courtney Carney, LSW

Courtney is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). She is currently working under supervision from Dr. Bartok and Dr. Miller (Clinical Psychologists) to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In 2012, Courtney received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bloomsburg University. In 2015, she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University. For the past several years, Courtney has worked with children, adolescents, and families in Multisystemic Therapeutic Services and School-Based Outpatient Services. While using a variety of techniques, Courtney tends to gravitate towards Cognitive-Behavioral, Behavior Modification, Solution Focused and Play Therapy techniques. Courtney believes that every person is unique.  Her goal is to treat each client based on their individual needs to help them gain the tools to live satisfying lives.

Gwyn Lipari, LCSW

Sheryl Johnson, LCSW

Sheryl received her Master’s in Social Work Degree from Salisbury University in Maryland in 2007. She completed two years of additional supervision, then tested and received her Clinical Social Work license in 2009.  She held her license in Maryland and Delaware, then in 2015 became licensed in Pennsylvania as a Clinical Social Worker. Sheryl has worked with a variety of populations including children, adults, couples, and families. Her work modalities have included Individuals, couples, families and groups in multi-systemic therapeutic services, school based and office-based outpatient services, within County and State prisons and with chronically ill patients in a Dialysis Center.  Sheryl’s theoretical base is rooted in Reality Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes that everyone can benefit from mental health therapy to learn and practice tools that they can apply in their lives to become their best selves.

She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Chester University in 2004, and then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Eastern University in 2008. She has worked with children, teens and adults in an outpatient setting and has focused her work on mental health and substance abuse. Sarah Smith, MSW, LSW

Sarah is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). She is working under supervision from Dr. Bartok and Dr. Miller to receive additional supervision to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In 2014, Sarah received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Geneva College. In 2017, she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburg. For the past several years, Sarah has worked with children, adolescents, and families in Intensive Behavior Health Services and Family Based Mental Health Service settings. She utilizes various treatment modalities to increase positive outcomes for clients to include Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused therapy. In addition to individual and family counseling, Sarah is also adept at couples counseling. Sarah believes treatment is a journey taken together with the clinician and client walking side-by-side to help the client become the best version of themselves.

Alan Warner, LCSW

Alan received his MSW in Clinical Social Work from Ohio State University in 2002. He has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2005 in Ohio, 2014 in Pennsylvania and 2022 in Maryland. Alan has worked mostly with adults and some teenagers dealing primarily with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. He has a holistic perspective of mental wellness and view counseling and other healthy life choices as a way to achieve personal empowerment and self-actualization. At times his work includes exploring the family of origin and working to let go of ingrained unhealthy thinking and behaviors that hold a person back from achieving the quality of life they want and deserve.
